Partial CC Values?

This is a long shot, but...
Is there any way to send a CC value fraction (like 66.5)?
Why?
I bought an old hardware sampler (Yamaha SU700) the other day and spent the weekend experimenting with it.
The sampler doesn't allow for chromatically playing the sample... it’s one button per sample.
However, the sampler does allow for pitch shifting. The SU pitch dial will go up or down 127 ticks on the display, with every 5 ticks being a semi-tone. That’s 25 semi-tones (or just over two octaves) up and down.
I found a video online that suggested controlling the pitch by midi, which I have set up using bluetooth on my iPad and a receiver on the SU700.
HOWEVER, because the pitch control on the SU700 goes up or down 127 “ticks”, it means that each cc value increases the ticks by 2!
CC value of 64 means +- 0 on the SU700. A CC value of:
65=+2
66=+4
66.5= +5 (Is there a way?)
67=+6
68=+8
69=+10 (2 semi-tones)
etc
Again, because a semi-tone=5 ticks, I am unable to get an odd number semi-tone to work (always sharp or flat).
After all that, the question is, can CC send a fraction, like 66.5?
Any other thoughts on how I could approach this?
I will say, even with this limitation, that sending random CC values with Rozeta LFO to percussive sounds and drone notes is fun.

Normally, pitch is controlled via a special MIDI message, which unlike CCs has a resolution of 14 bits (instead of the 7 for CCs). The SU700 seems to be odd if it uses a CC instead of the Pitch Bend message?
(and yes, CCs can also be high-resolution (14 bits), but not many apps and devices support that. It works by sending the high 7 bits (MSB) via, say, CC 20, and the "fine" (low, LSB) 7 bits via CC 20+32 = 52).

Will explore further. Perhaps the SU700 responds to pitch control through both the special pitch message and assignable CC value (which would explain why its off by default).

The SU700 won't respond to pitch bend and there's no such thing as fractional CC, only NRPN, Sysex and the like. You'll have to work with what the SU supports, including everything you can map to CC in the box. What about mapping the sample you want to play pitched to different pads with different tuning? The SU's charm is about its sequencer too, no?

My work around was to do just that. Resample onto a second track at “-1 tick” (1/5 of a semi-tone) and then use that track for the odd notes.
I am really enjoying the SU700. Something about it... maybe the layout, ease of sampling, not sure, but I am way happier with it than I think I would have been spending nearly 10x as much on a oktatrack MK2

I was eyeing on the SU700 a few times but always ended up with other ones like the SU10, Zoom ST224 and Roland SP404 (which does not re-pitch at all except in FX) but since Groove Rider, Gadget (Stockholm) and NanoStudio 2, they're collecting dust.
Would like to get my hands on an SU700 though, just for jamming a bit
