Seriously, though... This is cool stuff. I'm very appreciative of the analyzer function and the ability to select L,R or both as inputs.
I was wondering, though. This is such a featured EQ and so light and awesome on the CPU. Does it make sense for it to not include a cut? Maybe a switch could be added to select either cut or shelf options? Or am I not seeing it?

I realize this is a thread resurrection, but this is my favorite EQ on iOS, and I’ve used both Pro-Q’s. All of these AuFx apps are so high quality and clear sounding.
Please Mr. Liljedahl consider again the high and low cut switch thing. I’d buy an IAP for that one..

I agree and maybe making AUv3 versions of your effects? I would also either pay an IAP or if you just release them as new apps I would buy them again.

But...what's up with that video? Is it just me or is that the exact OPPOSITE of how you'd want to use this EQ? Crazy to see something illustrate how terrible you can make a drum loop sound in three easy steps!
I am definitely another fan of the AUFX apps, Peak Q is very useful.
I think the dev has a bigger market with his AUM app, which we all know is fantastic and being updated frequently.
I don’t blame him for delaying the AUv3 updates to his AUFX series, even though he was talking about it several years ago. I imagine it is hard to see it being worth his time, especially now that so many other AUv3 effects have been released since then. Still, I’m hoping it happens one day.
Speaking of the AUFX apps I still love AUFX: Push for being the only app that has enabled me to figure out compression. And not only that it does side-chain very well when i want it.
And I'm still saying it
I will release AUv3 versions of my AUFX apps. They will be new releases, and I might tweak them a bit in the process.
It was just a quick demo to show the range of the parameters, not trying to make the drum loop sounding better

Sounds cool... From a marketing point it could be neat to bake the AUv3's in as IAPs into AUM?
(Ie. free to test fully but can not be saved as part of a session).
This would be a somewhat similar approach as the midi things in AB3?

Any chance of SECTOR getting the AU treatment? I would gladly pay a significant price for a new SECTOR AU app. My guess is I’m not alone in that regard.

Me neither. It has always been the plan, but stuff has always got in the way (other work, health, family, etc). My intention is still the same though!
Honestly i dont see nearly as much value in bringing yet another AU FXs on the market that already has plenty of same FXs(with maybe just a tiny difference that no one really needs or cares that much about, than just wanting new shiny things for feeding appholism), than value in improving AUM for example.
By the way, ability to send different clock divisions/multipliers to different midi outs would be sweeeeet or even divisions to that regular single midi clock out would be nice
I disagree - the AUFX apps are some of the top sounding effects out there, and being able to have multiple instances would be huge. I have most iOS AUv3 reverbs and AUFX Space would be king if released. I think there’s definitely a market for them considering their quality level. I’d happily buy them again as AUv3s if needed.
Yeah, the AUFX apps are all potentially best in class over all competitors even as IAA. That says something about the quality level! The only competition uses exponentially more CPU power. As AU, they’d be clear leaders.

I agree with your disagreement. I can honestly say I think I get better sounds out of AUFX’s easier and faster than anything and everything on iOS. Which is why I asked for the high and low cut, even more awesomeness.
Yea give me a sample where proq2 and aufx eq is compared, that shows that proq2 is noticeably worse and that thus there being some real reason you need this as well.
Then do the same with compressors etc and what have you.
I doubt you would be able to show much of difference, unless you intentionally dialed them differently.. Therefore i also doubt the value of these being AU vs value of improving AUM, which cant be replaced with anything imo. Well apematrix tries, but ui is so very different and not for me at all
I'm going to controversially say that I'm not a big fan of AUFX Peak and only really use Push, Dub and Space from that set -- no problems with sound, I just don't find it to be flexible enough EQ solution for my workflow. I will however hedge my statement by stating that my preferred EQ solution on iOS is native AUM nodes, which may well be the same DSP, but which present a workflow that is just right for me.
As an elaboration to that statement, I'll go on to propose that AUM nodes are probably the best sounding, most CPU efficient, most overlooked and most fully featured FX suite on the iOS platform. If you threw in the AUFX suite of functionality on top of that already powerful selection -- holy shit!
