Positive Grid NAMM half price sale.
I finally upgraded my ipad mini to IOS 7 just to install BIAS after trying and liking Jamup Pro xt so well. I got a pleasant surprise and found all PG apps at half off so I picked up the effects bundle for Jamup at the same time, half off as well.
Yes, you hard right after complaining about the upgrade, I finally gave in. Who ever mentioned gaining the space back after the upgrade is correct by the way. I gained space on my Ipad mini after completing the upgrade. I gained about .7 gb in fact. I am now stoked and ready to join you all in the 21 century of TOUCH.....

Lol. Wimp...
Tell the truth, you just knew I would given enough suffering. I have to admit you were right, it was the right thing to do.
I'm glad you're happy with the decision.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
cheapest offer to date for BIAS... worth it for an acoustic guitar player?
So the bundles are usually $9.99 each??
ya, half off, exactly.
OMG.
Bias $6.99
JamUp Pro XT $6.99

I do like the tones I get out of my acoustic running through it, so it's definitely not a waste. That being said, I find I like the sound of just my acoustic recorded into Auria and then tweaked with ProQ or even Saturn if I'm feeling crazy. Just my preference these days.
Sheesh... wish I hadn't dropped full price on both of those just a week ago. Nice nice price right now.
Okay... Already got Bias and just got my iRig HD delivered this week, so I am wondering - do I need JamUp? I've got loads of effects apps (Turnado, WOW, Echo Pad, etc.) and all the amps in Bias, so can I live without it?
@sickmoth, there are a lot of different effects in JamUp, yes, but the majority of them will come in the form of IAPs. The stock effects you get with JamUp are great, don't get me wrong. It's a fine app, and my personal favorite guitar modeler not named BIAS. All I'm saying it that you can probably do everything you want with your guitar tone. The sharing of presets via the SoundCloud thing is awesome. I think JamUp is great and don't regret my purchases at all. But from your comments it doesn't sound like it would add that much to your workflow. I'm sure there are others who might disagree with me, but that's how I feel about it. As I said in my previous post, I'm doing most of my recording these days without BIAS or JamUp or any modelers. I'm finding I can have more flexibility after the fact (I'm no shredder obviously so real time feedback etc isn't so critical to my sound - if it were I'm sure I'd be singing a different tune)
Thanks Mr 51. I'll pass on it then. I generally go for ear bleeding distortion used tastefully and twiddly lead lines with warm delay. I couldn't see anything in JamUp that would offer anything I don't already have. Saved me a fiver!
I'd add that the advantage of JamUp is the ability to port your Bias amp models into it directly. Granted you can accomplish this to some degree with AB and effects in the AB effects slot, but with JamUp, you can position the amp anywhere in the chain.
When does the sale end? I'm already $15 over budget this month (damn you Gadget!:)
I think I got my answer - "NAMM Show Special". Means it will be normal price come Feb. drat.
I just purchased BIAS. It makes the 3rd app I bought on sale that runs only in iOS 7 although I'm still on iOS 6, iPad 3. It is hard not to think of the future when they are on sale knowing that I will either eventually update the iPad 3 or hope that the free iPad I just won comes with it installed.

How do you manage to purchase an iOS7-only app when you're still on iOS6? I'd like to do the same.

iTunes App Store.
Thanks. I'll give it a whirl![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Yep, not from the device.
@Keebo: I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my iPad2 to IOS7 a few months ago. I'm not sure what was stopping me, perhaps the fear that it would slow things down too much. After I turned off all the visual effects and background updating after a fresh install I am finding it is just as fast with the one exception of launching apps, there seems to be some small delay there.
But the added ability to actually use some of my apps now has made it worthwhile to me!
Oh, and to stay on topic, I finally bit the bullet and bought BIAS myself. I was resisting that for so long but I have to say I really like all the stock sample amps and many of the user uploaded ones. I actually don't have much of a need for JamUp Pro anymore - plus the IAP always drove me crazy on that app, so expensive for very limited "extras" on an already relatively expensive app.
When you compare the price to VST's there really are not many apps I would consider expensive. We have become spoiled thankfully.
Does anyone else have random issue with jamup when you open it and you only hear direct signal (no processed signal)? I almost always have to restart jamup several times before I hear the processed signal. But haven't read anyone else with this so just wondering.
