OT: MIT’s PixelPlayer can isolate the sounds of instruments using AI

Don’t hold your breath for this on iOS, but I thought it was interesting...

  • If I understood this correctly, the purpose is not chirurgic sound processing, but to corelate visual action (of performers) with audio parts, so you can isolate a player within the group. Audio output is less than humble iirc.
    (the clip had fairly broad coverage quite some time ago)
