  • humm ... what if what you really want is to become someone else's pet? Preferably a not too old, reasonably good looking, and especially, very, very rich female?

  • Wow @LinearLineman !
Look at that long lanky frame! I have wondered if Ares might have some “long dog” in him. He has a very deep chest and is long for his height.
I’ve never had the pleasure of spending time with a whippet. Maybe I’ll get lucky and meet one on one of our dog park visits.

We have a stick insect (Carausius morosus)

  • I’ve always wanted a flock of runner ducks, but I’ll never have one:

  • Always wanted one of these. Picked up Cookie a couple of days ago. 4 month old ragdoll kitten. Such a beautiful temperament and total character <3

They're called ragdolls because when you pick them up for a cuddle they don't complain - they just go floppy in your arms like a ragdoll.

Ha! We have two rag dolls. They're absolutely beautiful and very intelligent animals. But they both definitely do not like being picked up. They do the exact opposite of going floppy in our arms.

  • We adopted “Fudge”, a lovely and studio loving Siamese cream point almost a year ago. He loves synths and trying to get a place on my lap while I’m jamming. Here he is posing on a Band poster.

What! Sorry hear that. Happy to report my kitten can be worn like a scarf :D

  • Mammals besides me:
    2 shelter cats
1 chocolate bicolor rag doll cat
2 Shetland sheepdogs (sable and blue Merle)
3 human children offspring, one out of the house and working on a Ph.D.
    1 wife of 32+ years

Our ragdoll cat would jump off if worn like a scarf, but she can be picked up and held on her back in the crook of my arm like a baby. I can rub her tummy as much as I want. She sucks up to my wife for loves in the AM and begs for cream cheese when I have a bagel. She gets right in a row begging with our shelties.

  • Me and my girlfriend have 4 cats combined. I think I’m fine for now lol.

  • Molly the moggy.

  • Jazz, 3 years old

  • I want a Commodore.

I like cats and dogs and I understand why someone wanted to adopt a dog or a cat, but I just don't understand the rest. Am I strange?
My ex girlfriend had a little bird that was always screaming and shitting each 2 min (really) and I'm sure she would have saved the bird before me if our house were on fire. And I don't understand snake and rats and others exotic animal. I really don't.

They were a TV show in the 1990 in Montreal on weirdos that you can find on YouTube and a guy in Montréal was living with a crocodile. I just don't get it.

I'm open to understand tough. I don't want to judge, I want to understand.

Here is the guy from a Tv show in 1989 in Quebec.

  • Casper, rescued from a shelter where he had been for a few months after probably several months on the street.

Never seen a dog as happy as he is, he walks with a real spring in his step, especially when off leash. His favourite thing, apart from eating bones trying to play cute so strangers will give him food, and sniffing female dog secretions on the street, is playing with stones. If he keeps working on his skills I think he'll progress to eating with a knife and fork soon.

I'll probably have to neuter him, as we are out and about all the time and I really don't think I (or other restaurant or cafe customers) can cope with his yelps of despair when a female on heat is nearby in a restaurant or cafe and he can't get to her.

Loves killing - birds, crabs, cockroaches, you name it. Mostly quite afraid of cats for some reason and absolutely shite at chasing rats.

Love him to bits. Wish he was more of a cuddler but he's getting better with time.

Did they later find his entire body in the stomach of his roommate?

Sorry for the necro thread bump, but I just had to post this one my son just texted me.
    "Find the real apex predator..."

  • Here’s our guy, Clovis, aka Mr. Boy, out for a walk. You don’t walk cats; cats walk you. (XP4N)

  • It will be four years this coming July since my little buddy passed. I literally think about him everyday and he still is on my phone screen.
I wrote this little love letter to him when passed and I had posted it on IG.

Hey there little buddy, I hope you found your new home.
I’m wondering if you noticed the candle I left out in the back yard? Did you see the food I left I for you to?
You wouldn’t believe how many people cried when I told them of your passing.
Even the older couple who live next door teared up when I gave them the news.
You used to sit on their fence for hours throughout the day and soak in the sun. I know that made you happy.
Today they told you used to go inside their home sometimes.
You really had a way with people didn’t you?
Every person who looked after you while I traveled always told me they had a hard time saying goodbye to you and that you were the coolest cat they had ever met.
Today I emailed the Russian couple who looked after you a few different times. They had planned a visit to SF this fall. She said they had a baby girl and they wanted to bring her over to meet you.
See how many peoples lives you touched?
You were supposed to go with me to Thailand this year but then you got sick. You can come visit me anytime you know? I’ll bring your favorite blanket.
My final question is how did you ever make it to the kitty litter box on your final night?
You couldn’t walk at all and I had to carry you everywhere. I fell asleep for maybe 20 minutes and you somehow found you way to your box.
You could of just went on the floor you know? That was the kind of friend you were, always trying to make me happy.
I guess that was your final gift huh?

RIP Che. Please wait for me on the other side.

I can easily see why he was so lovable. When, sometimes, I tell people how our cat is a 'person', some can understand; others don't.
