New York Times Magazine piece on Teenage Engineering
Really good piece on the innovations of Teenage Engineering, and the Pocket Operators specifically. It's a little weird it doesn't reference the new Rick and Morty PO, or the OPZ or the modular stuff. But it's a great way of looking at how design affects inspiration.

Cool article. The story of plugging in the PO in Tokyo kind of reminds me of nights working on music with a heap of gear only to get something cooler out of an SK1 with some tape echo.
Love me some pocket operators long time....but couldn’t get behind this https://teenage.engineering/store#PO-137. Feels like they’re trying too hard.

Hmm, pay wall won't let me in.
I do want a Rick & Morty PO. I know the very idea has been criticized by various folks but I don't care - I want one.
Interesting article! Thanks!
Regarding PO-137, I would get it. Like PO-35, but customized
And it has a special feature I don't know what it is!
I love my po33!
I don't really get the appeal of these little synths over an app on your iPhone or iPad? Can't you do a whole lot more for a whole lot less $$$s on an iDevice?
We cannot help but crave for physical buttons, knobs, etc. to play with once in a while. That's why hardly anybody here seems to remain faithful to the idea of making music only on iOS devices and no other hardware - you see peeps here all the time end up buying guitar pedals, Korg Volcas, POs, etc.
