Ruismaker - how to get it to sync with AUM clock as IAA??

Title says it all - want to use the stop/start/tempo controls in AUM to control Ruismaker as IAA.
Is this possible?

Comments

  • In Ruismaker
    1. Go into Link settings and turn it off.
    2. Go into Midi settings and flip the Midi in switches to on

    In AUM
    1. Enter the Tempo/clock settings (3dots)
    2. Find ‘Send Midi Clock’ and tap that
    3. Enable Midi Clock and select Ruismaker Midi as the recipient.

    Thanks @CracklePot
This works although if I press stop in AUM it doesn’t restart unless I press rewind first.
Is this normal MIDI clock behaviour?
I was hoping it would just restart where I left off (which is what happens with Funkbox)

  • Yeah, I get the same behavior.
I don’t know if it is normal, but it seems like it could be.
If AUM only sends a Start message at the beginning of timeline, then you would probably need to rewind.
AUM just pauses, so you keep you place in the timeline, and maybe no Start message gets sent, but a Resume message does.

I don’t really know much more about it.
Maybe someone else will chime in.
