Elastic Drums Hold Jam FX

Is there any way in Elastic Drums keep one of the Jam FX on without using a finger to hold down the button or they xy pad? I know I can do this via MIDI but if there way some creative way to do it without additional hardware it'd be great for my live performances. Sometimes I'm able to trick the app that a finger is still pressed by turning on multiple Jam FX, but that's highly inconsistent.
