really surprised no one mentioned Amnesiac here.

    I forgot about that one.

  • Spinning plates was the first piece of music I learned to play correctly on the piano.

If I liked In Rainbows a lot, what woudl you recommend next?

Being a huge fan of Radiohead’s work I can only agree with all recommendations. But I am just really surprised no one mentioned Amnesiac here. I would definitely recommend this album to someone who enjoyed In Rainbows. Lots of experimentations (less than Kid A) and full of amazing songs. Pyramid Song is a master piece I put on the same level as Reckoner or Videotape.

    Agreed.

I still wake up jealous of Reckoner most days.

Reckoner is a fav of mine.

  • So in short... a pretty amazing body of work.

Different people like different bits of it, but if you delve into it you’ll find something that works for you.

Lots of good radiohead records but I agree that if In Rainbows was the thing that made you go "oh, wait, I dig this" that A Moon Shaped Pool is a great second step. Then OK Computer, then Amnesiac. Though, having heard a grip of @Tarekith's music, maybe Amnesiac is a better choice for him. :)

  • Cheers everyone!

  • Amnesiac is probably my least fave of their albums other than Pablo Honey. Sure, Pyramid Song is amazing, but other tracks are so slow and lacking in energy compared to live versions (I Might Be Wrong is just insipid), and once you've seen Radiohead live it's really hard to go back. Also, Dollars and Cents and Hunting Bears will never be good songs.

  • I hadn't listened to A Moon Shaped Pool yet.
    What an amazing album :open_mouth:
