If you don't want the generated melody, just export the midi file into say Cubasis etc, and lose it.

Definitely a lot of thought went into this app… I like all of the contour options for the melodies! Combined w/ the ability to regenerate the melody rhythms at various complexities, its very useful. Plus, the Free type option allows a lot of control over the creating the melody. Very inspiring for composing new work!
I wrote the developer and asked for the ability to change the A, B, and C section lengths. (Currently they can only be 8 bars.) He says that they will review my request. This is the one feature that I'd like to see added ASAP. I have a lot of tunes where I've written only the chords, or the chords and melodies for only part of the song. It would be great to input the tune and use iSongwriter to suggest melodies/chords for parts that aren't completed.
In reality, I probably won't use the app's suggested parts verbatim very often, but I think I'll often find inspiration for whatever I end up writing. Very cool.
