Does anyone know what's happening with ScytheiPhone?

ScytheiPhone doesn't have an in app store anymore
and is not on App Store either.
Is Scythe Synthesizer going to go as well?

Thanks in advance.

  • I’m not sure what is happening with this developer. Their website seems to gone as well. Hopefully he resurfaces at some point. You can still download the iPhone version if you’ve purchased it already. The iPad version was updated about 3 months ago.

  • @InfoCheck

I found the same info as you.
I still have the app on my phone but after having lost an old app
the other day I thought to check the apps that I do have are up to date.

I was hoping that the developer would've been on
the forum like many of the other developers that I've noticed.

A pity because it is quite an interesting little app
and I've got the time now to delve into it properly.

    Fingers crossed hopefully he'll resurface.

    Thank you for the feedback.

    Peace.

  • The app has changed a lot in price recently too. Dropping to free on a couple occasions.

The developer decided some months ago to stop further development but may release maintenance updates.

  • @espiegel123

    Thank you.

Some apps don't need continuous updates once they work.
On desktops some apps took decades to get updated, even the desktop DAW's.

Hopefully the developer will be reinspired to continue developing the app.
