At first I was skeptical/cynical but it has an Amiga/Tracker lane so now I must take this deadly serious.
Great site, but I was a little disturbed by this bit of the Detroit Techno write-up: 'If you ever go through an emotional breakup, I recommend listening to Techno. It helps you feel nothing.' This is really not true in the slightest - a lot of techno is incredibly soulful and helps you 'feel' a lot. But, yeah, wonderful timeline, nonetheless.
Holy shit it's alive!
I never missed much from my Windows days, but this guide is one I definitely missed. It reminds me of the olden days of the internet. It's chock full of sarcastic humour that adds to its charm. And nobody else but that guy has done so much tireless research into it. 
I'm glad I can finally access it on my iPad.
