Ha! My dad used to call me that, and it was basically impossible to get him to unlearn, no matter how grating it became when I got older.
Thx! Hopefully, I’ve worked through my 8-bit fever phase with this one.
Very nice, I liked that a lot. I cover that song on guitar a lot and love to jam out the jam spot a hot minute. Very funky . It made me want to make a cover of it with some 303 action
Thanks, JackDwyerburger!
Thanks so much JonathanMac! I also have a buncha stuff on SoundCloud, if you haven't checked that out.. Actually most of my stuff, up until recently:

Have never really kept close track of time, and of course it varies from project to project... But I would guess about 3-wks to a month on average? Sometimes more; sometimes less. I think 2 weeks is my record for the shortest.
But then there is the question of how much time each day.. When I’m in the “zone” and get obsessed, everything else around me becomes something to get pushed aside and ignored and I can end up putting in some LONG days, working until exhaustion, without food, water, or breaks. Sometimes I’ll come out of it and then have to choose between resting my aching back or sating my starving hunger.
This track was supposed to be an easy quickie because, for the first time, I could skip the composition phase. But it ended up being especially hard to mix! (Always something.) Took me a long time to get those video game voices to sit right. Went through at least 10 different “final” mixes over several days. Eventually, using two different compressors was the solution.
In short, it’s never easy, and it’s always something, and everything always takes longer than you would like or you think it should, but you have to just keep going until it’s right.
