IR/convolution reverb. Why might I want to use this?

To me it sounds more “real”. Depends on what effect you’re looking for though. I use both.
Convolution Reverb often changes the timbre of a sound in addition to the reverbiness I've found, so it's more fun to experiment to IR of random things like a cereal bowl or random places like Berlin power plant.
