NanoStudio 2 grouping question
I’ve got a group of drums tracks in NS2 but want to add another one to the group, without having to create an entirely new group because the preexisting group has effects tryst I’d like to keep is it possible to add a track to a group in this way? I’m probably being dumb but just can’t see a way to do it. Thanks in advance.

Add the track, then press-drag the track on top of the one you want to group it under. You can also carefully drag it underneath one of the other tracks in the group. You have to watch the highlights in the track header until it shows in the right position. It's hard to think how to describe, but I think you'll get the feel for it pretty quickly once you start dragging tracks around.
or select any track inside group, and then add new one - new will be added after selected track, so as another child of same group
Ah, excellent, fellas, thanks a lot. I thought there must be a way - I just couldn’t work it out. I’m really getting into NS2 - such a lovely interface 👍
I should always remember to wait at least 5 minutes for @dendy's better answer before I answer any NS2 questions.
Haha. Yes, he’s the man when it comes to NS2, definitely. But your answer was also top notch. I have to say, NS2 beats the pants off cubasis, in my opinion. Just needs those audio tracks, but it’s easily good enough to be getting on with for now. I’d happily pay for the audio stuff, but I know it’s on the back burner a bit because of the iPhone version. Ah, well, no real bother. I love the ‘mixdown’ Method of generating a piece of audio from a track - very clever, that.
This is the part where @dendy puts in his "it's a shame that adding Audiobus and working around AU issues took up six months of development time" (the six months gets longer all the time) lament. lol!
(Sorry @dendy. I just couldn't help myself.
)
P.S. Not complaining about the delays.
😂
I disagree with @dendy on that one, tbh. I wouldn’t have bought NS2 if it was a walled garden. I love it as it is, though - so smooth and bug-free.
Agreed. The old-school NS crowd may not think it was necessary, but I totally think it was. Ditto for audio tracks. They would have been happy forever to just live in NS2, I'm convinced, but it would have never been more than a niche player without these things. IPhone app plus these things will take it over the moon.
I'm in no hurry.
Same here, happy to wait. The dev is clearly fastidious, and that’ll do me.
