  • I wouldn't mind a Gadget version :)

  • Couldn't resist and oredered probably the last one in stock from Romania :)))
    Cheap.

  • Unique sampler, my only complain is it doesn't auto loop but it has a dedicated fx:looper. It also has the kp3 effects with deeper control but not easy to use as the xy pad.
It's perfect for live sampling/slicing and generally speaking one of the best samplers...If korg doesn't make an XL version it will become vintage on eBay...

  • Just noticed after I ordered it.
You can't have several melodic sounds sequenced in a pattern. You can do that if you resample the melody.

Basically my iPad air with Nanostudio and Novation Launchkey mini is much more powerful.

  • If you bought it as a rompler then maybe it won't meet your needs. It doesn't even have pitch/mod wheel, plus when connected to pc/mac you can't use the editor at the same time with your favorite DAW. But as soon as you sample a loop ,chop it ,re-sample you will realize the workflow is very fast.

  • Actually I want to use it with my iPad to create music untethered to the computer. Sampling drums and synths and using the workflow of the microsampler to create grooves.

I am aware that my Maschine MK2, the iPad and my OP-1 surclass it, but it somehow attracts me.

  • I was about to get one last year (or the year before), had no clue about it, just stumbled upon it while web surfing one night, and it looked like a cheap but pretty powerful and fun sampler/keyboard. And thought, I'll just wait a few months. And when checking the stores again, it was out of stock everywhere.

What happened with this one? Was it just a really old product, or did Korg discontinue it for other reasons?

  • I got it. It's really nice.
That "auto next" feature is awesome. You effectively toggle some keys and play some one shot samples on the iPad, and based on threshold, is records each transient on a different key. Drumkits galore!

  • Is that the teenage engineering OP-1? Would love one of those...a lot of money though....

  • Just in case some one with a microsampler did not know, there are a ton of questions answered and free microsampler banks available at the Korg Forums microsampler page.
