So before you know facts, you make assumption and join halfwit club, reporting Uno for saying all men same under skin, and fact that slavery happened long before it was in US. What an idiot you are.
Lineman you are a good fellow. Consider please that my Uno Woo character proved the point that for some excruciatingly woke people, nothing anyone who isn’t in their camp says is ever going to get a fair hearing. We have redneck boy reporting me for stating historical and logical fact. This is how far things have fallen.
As for liking me for myself, these halfwits have no real idea what colour my skin is (not that it should matter) what my heritage is, or what difficulties I may have faced. To them, if I don’t agree with their twisted interpretation I am a racist Nazi.
So, a BIG thank you to all the lovely, kind and friendly people I have encountered here during this experiment. Sadly, AB forum is just as fucked up as everything else American Leftist lunatics have touched. So it’s goodbye from Uno Woo.
SlowwFloww sad you're leaving. Hopes forum stays fun place to visit. Make peace not war.
If you don't agree with the left you are a Nazi. If you don't agree with the right you are a Commie.
Both extremes of politics are as bad as each other :-)
Don't leave for the politics Uno Woo. Stay for the apps....
@UnoWoo, I think you are an ok guy, too, and I certainly don’t care anything about your racial genre. I do think, however, that in experimenting with a forum by adopting a racial stereotype will not ever lead to a good result, IMO. I agree, this forum tends to support “liberal” ideas in the basic definition of the word...
liberal
/ˈlɪb(ə)r(ə)l/
adjective
1.
willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas.
"liberal views towards divorce"
2.
(of education) concerned with broadening a person's general knowledge and experience, rather than with technical or professional training.
"the provision of liberal adult education"
synonyms: wide-ranging, broad-based, general, humanistic
Most of us, IMO, are rather free wheeling and tolerant, non grudge holding.... and forgiving. No one, I think, wishes you to go, but because you are not accepted in the way you wish... this, and as you indicate, any other “American (touched) Leftist Lunatic forums” such as AB will not suit your needs. I hear you. I guess you must go, if you go anywhere at all, to a tech forum that agrees with your POV. I wish you well.
@Simon: I am surprised that you have made the leap that you just made.
Uno basically said that the racism that African-Americans face is inconsequential/not worth talking about or inconsequential.
People objected to that notion. (Particularly as it was expressed dishonestly using phony broken English).
He wasn't being criticized for not being liberal enough...he was being criticized for denying that racism is consequential... and using what seemed like phony broken English to express that laughable notion.
It amazes me that being outed that he tries to claim some righteousness as if his clowning was serious thoughtful engagement.
Is your point of view that racism against African Americans is inconsequential?
Did he?
I notice the word "basically" in there. Does that mean he didn't say it but you want to criticise him for it anyway.
I feel like you are being disingenuous. His response to "racism is consequential" was to say everyone is oppressed and when given a chance to say otherwise, he didn't. [On top of it he used a demeaning caricature-speak to express himself but I'd prefer not to get sidetracked by a discussion of that.]
Do you have a response to the question I posed (as to whether racism against African Americans is consequential)?
I just re-read all of his posts in this thread and it seems to me that you and DCJ decided that he wasn't going far enough in agreeing with your stance and so you attacked him.
He didn't jump through hoops to your satisfaction....
Lets get back to music shall we?
I disagree.
He/she impliec several times that racism against African-Americans is inconsequential. But of course, chose to use vague broken English to express him/herself. And chose not to fully articulate a viewpoint when asked to do so.
"Jumping through hoops to my satisfaction "????
I asked a pretty straightforward question and got back a non-answer that implies that racism isn't a serious problem. Maybe my interpretation is wrong, but I asked for articulation and got back ... not sure what to call it.
I haven't been insulting or demeaning.
What say you, is racism against African-Americans consequential?
You are entitled to your opinion. I am curious--since it is the issue at the heart of the discussion--where you are at on the issue.
We are in disagreement I guess.
Sorry. I’m not jumping through hoops for you. Go and play “Dance Monkey Dance” with someone else.
@simon! You plagiarized my “Dance, Monkeys Dance !”🤣😘 Finally I have made a lasting contribution to this august forum!
My opinion... the poster under discussion is a mixed bag with some pent up feelings. Easy misinterpret when wise man play foolish game.
What? That youtube video didn’t fix everything?
@LinearLineman : In my opinion, if asking someone if racism is consequential seems to them confrontational and like they are being made to jump through hoops (especially in the context of a conversation that was largely centered on that topic), it says a lot about where things are.
It is disappointing to me that people feel like they want to jump to getting personal and use demeaning language rather than try to have a conversation where they express or defend their viewpoint without being insulting.
@espiegel123, not disagreeing with you at all. Sorry if I gave that impression.
Why the hostility? I was asking a question in good faith. I am trying to understand where you are coming from and trying to understand why we interpret the conversation so differently.
You can simpy say: "I don't feel comfortable answering that." There is no reason to jump to hostility.
Would you like to point to any statement that shows that we decided he wasn’t going far enough in agreeing with our stance? Both you and Uno seem to be hesitant to address me directly. You were hesitant to address me directly on another thread where I asked you simple questions to get a better understanding of your argument. You have the energy to type all kinds of responses on here but when asked directly a simple question, you deflect claiming that answer the question would be doing a monkey dance. Interesting.
No one has to jump through hoops to type on this forum. It seems it’s only jumping through hoops when you cannot substantially defend your stance. Clearly answering the simple question Espiegel asked you proved difficult because of the answer you would provide. Otherwise you would have said yes. Otherwise you could have said “I don’t feel comfortable answering” as he stated above. But the questionable “answer” you have given leads us to the actual answer you did not want to give.
No one else here has responded with anger or hostility or name calling when challenged.
I reported you for pretending to be Asian (or at least a racist stereotype caricature of one), not for saying "all men are the same under the skin" nor for saying "slavery happened long before it was in the US". So perhaps it is you who are the halfwit for not understanding why I reported you?
Well, it's better to be a "redneck boy" than a "halfwit" using racist Asian stereotypes to form a "character".
Then perhaps put your face in your avatar? Perhaps you are Asian playing to your own stereotypes. However, more often than not, it's a white person who pulls such shit. I'm not saying "always", just "most often".
Annnnd nobody called you anything of the sort. Now that's putting words in our mouths. SJWs would call you that of course, but nobody here would say anything like that.
Well "sadly", a lot of us musicians tend to lean towards the left to varying degrees. A lot of us are humanists and don't take to stereotypes that lightly. If you wanna go, then go. If you wanna stay, then shape up.
Charlie Chan...

I was thinking Fortune Cookie myself.
I was waiting for the lottery numbers to be added at the end of every nugget.
WTF is up with this racist emoji?
😑
That PMcC video seems creepy as hell.
Why?
Why would he make that?
@UnoWoo : a couple of serious questions. I am genuinely puzzled by some of the things that you have said.
You wrote: "my Uno Woo character proved the point that for some excruciatingly woke people, nothing anyone who isn’t in their camp says is ever going to get a fair hearing"
Can you articulate in non-insulting language more about what you were trying to do and how it is that you exposed intolerance and why the UnoWoo "character" was necessary or helpful in doing this?
You wrote: "To them, if I don’t agree with their twisted interpretation I am a racist Nazi."
Who said that? I certainly didn't. I accused you of nothing. I asked if you really thought racism against African-Americans was inconsequential. It was a genuine question. I didn't want to jump to the conclusion that that was what you were saying -- so, I asked you to clarify your point of view.
I didn't want to jump to the conclusion that you were really saying that racism against African Americans isn't important. I hoped that I was mistinterpreting what you were saying.
To both you and Simon: if saying that racism against African Americans is consequential seems to you to be some sort of extremist position. That is certainly your right.
Is there some reason you can't express your opinion about it without insulting the people you are speaking to? You know nothing about me or my beliefs other than that I think that racism is a problem -- and yet you feel comfortable saying that I won't be satisfied unless UnoWoo agrees with me.
I simply asked him/her to clarify his/her position. I mean this with all serious, I did nothing other than ask for clarification. I wasn't hostile. I wasn't insulting. I genuinely wanted to know -- since Uno was being coy. I made no judgment.
And yet you are treating my attempt to understand as a hostile act. I really don't get it.
You jump to conclusions about what I want or expect with no support.
I had no idea where you or Uno were coming from, and I wanted to understand. Your hostility really makes no sense to me, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why you are so bent out of shape.
If going on the record as saying "racism is a probem" seems like an extremist position well -- I guess we have very different views of the world.
As I said, you have every right to disagree with me. But why can't you articulate your position or stay silent rather than be hostile to someone who has not been hostile to you?
@CracklePot said:
@CracklePot I agree, but I thought Paul was outing Monarch Programming, not endorsing it. The embedded link to the Monarch Programming article was the really disturbing part. Much more so than the video. @Simon said don't take it too seriously, but seems like a perfect tool for characters like Jeffrey Epstein. The article says 2 million have been so programmed. Hard to believe that, but Dean Koontz wrote about it using a child... really makes you wonder. The Manchurian Candidate was over fifty years ago and it was real then. Why not now?
it's probably just me but does anybody else miss the racist of old, these tokens today have reduced themselves to detractors and contrarians that can't even answer a straight question without asking a question in the place of giving an answer? I've said it before but it bares repeating I'm so sure that our racist forefathers are turning over in their graves at leaving their legacies up to such pansies and inept caricatures of hateful character. I'm used to the historically oppressed having need of a safe space..often times literally, especially in the institutional realm but now you're telling me that even the oppressors need a safe space to brandish their fangs and shed their filthy snakes skin as they often need to do, really!!!....?
Disgusting.
I remember when a backward spirited, hoax of an individual passed off as a human being didn't beat around the bush and spout off about liberalism, leftism, or who gives a fck-ism and just told you exactly how he felt about your kind but now we've got the blind leading the stupid, leading the stupid blind.... I just told my cat about this thread and all she said was pfffft...
I know everyone here is from somewhere else but it's all the same to me when I say I used to be a proud of our American racist, they used to stand for something and now look at them, and their international bretheren; Really.. is this the best we can do, then I might as well just have ramen for supper tonight because my belly certainly does not deserve steak after the fill of vermin I just stomached. We've gone from the pride and majesty of building statues of great hateful and racist men to remind ourselves of our former glory to prancing around Internet forums unafraid and unabashed to be clearly afraid of coming out and being exactly who we are.
I knew this was going to happen when Obama was president and our celebrated hateful started to accost him for liking the taste of arugula, and wearing a tan suit, strike me down if I'm lying but I knew it right then that our boys have gone and completely lost all heart!
Fast forward and here we are on an iPad forum of all places, can what's in a racist mans trousers become anymore impotent than this, I think not... no sir I think not.
I have a dream that one day soon our racist can come out of their safe spaces, their sanctuary devils dens, and out from behind those filthy, sticky, dirt stained qwerty boards hidden in the depths of their parents basements wallowing in the reflection of their parents failed achievements, and self radicalization to be heard...direct and true, and with pride in the fresh air of the surface world, and..
until that day comes I will continue to be outraged and ashamed at what they have become with their softporn attempts to move the masses into the fear and loathsome recesses of their own minds through these pissant, remedial, aimless meanderings. Now pull yourself up by your bootstraps, get out of your mothers basement, get an education it doesn't matter what kind go to voodoo school if you have to just get an education, and get a freaking job. You won't bring about the race-war apocalypse of your dreams by mistaking the audio bus forum for the front lines of your little 3rd reich, cos-play, fantasy football league regime. You are not really doing what is commonly known as 'something' by engaging in these little tift for taft's with non-racist on a music forum because for a real movement that won't move the needle, if you want to move the needle you've got to be the needle so go forth, just be careful and don't poke your eye out!
@kobamoto goddamnit if I wasn’t already married I swear to god....
Not so fast with the self-congratualtions buddy...
I think I stole it from a cartoon (possibly South Park).
So not only are you asking the questions, but now you are also providing options for me to answer.
"Are you, or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?"
You better answer or Joe will lock you up!
Answer the question!!!
Sorry Joe, but I'm not playing your game.
"Are you, or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?" ANSWER!
I have an answer but I am denying it to you. And it has nothing to do with "feeling comfortable".
I am denying you a "yes" because that would give you the satisfaction of having your viewpoint verified.
I am denying you a "no" because that would give you confirmation that I am in the wrong and so you can then attack me.
I am not playing by your rules but by my rules.
Checkmate.
Yes, I'm not sure what the "Asian thing" was all about.
Maybe it had to do with not wanting to appear as commenting on the forum as a "white male"?
Why would Macca make that video or why would the web site guy do the story about the video?
