Refunds for apps.

Hello,

I was wondering how you guys experience the refund policy of apple regarding apps?
The last year i asked for a refund 5 times, never had any problems but i always feel awkward doing it. They can blacklist you and exclude you for future refunds it seems. Wondered whhatt your experiences are.

Comments

  • I have only done it twice about seven or eight years ago. Apparently the rules differ region to region and are apt to change over time.

  • First thing worth knowing is that it hits the developers financially after Apple take their cut so it should be last resort. There was a thread about it recently.

It seems it is a bit random whether you can actually get a refund so I wouldn’t count on it either. Personally I did try to refund an app that I felt was unusable but Apple refused.

  • I think one should only do it as a last resort i know, but if an app doesn't deliver what it says or is really bad designed i think it is only reasonable to get a refund. I'm not only talking music apps by the way.

  • Do a refund for an app is like order one beer in a bar, took a few sips and then, ask for refund and walk out of the bar.

  • Not exactly, if i order my favourite brand of beer i know i'm gonna like it.
