model 15 / ripplemaker tutorials 3+ hours
So with mirack hitting iOS, and the pre-existing model 15 , @brambos ripple maker , Audulus , along side a few others, I've decided it is time to understand modular synthesis on a deeper level. I've kinda always tweaked patches on these but that gets boring and confusing lol and I want to know what's going on...
I stumbled on this guys page where he teaches model 15 and Ripplemaker and I watched the sample lessons at the bottom of the page and was impressed with how clear and detailed this dude explains things.
Also been watching some vcv rack tutorials on YouTube for free, but ima go ahead and purchase this dudes videos (only 30$ for a lot of time effort and info) cuz I really dig his style of teaching and love the apps he choose .
Just wanted to share these with you guys in case you’re trying to go on this modular journey as well and need a starting point.... and if anyone has watched them all, im curious about you’re thoughts on the series
Def peep the sample videos onModel 15 all the way at the bottom

i really appreciate this. i did the ask.audio mod 15 course and i learned the absolute basics but was only more confused ultimately. i know i just need that moment where it clicks
Looks interesting but it appears to be web-based only. Claims “forever” access, but no mention of download availability. This the just the kind of thing I’d like to have on my iPad for on a plane.
Ya man I didn't do that course cuz I heard that it was kinda confusing, I'm already good at that hahah, this dude seems pretty good just based on the demo videos he posted, also if you search his name, it's really long lol, on YouTube he has al quite a few other tutorials posted for other synths and seems to have a good track record. I'm willing to pay for good info so ima probably buy this next weekend
Ya I hear that, but it's the best source of info I've found yet for these apps so ima just roll with it, once I watch em once or twice I'll probably be done with it anyway and it probably makes it a less pirateable
In this forum it seems if you tick the empty box once it will never go away until you press the "Save Comment" button so I end up publishing these two lines of nonsense. Apologies
I took the SubjectSound course for Model 15 and can recommend it.
I started the Ripplemaker but have yet to finish it - I think I was distracted by other stuff going on.
Good to hear it is recommended !
Ripplemaker is quite easy to get to sound good. Mirack. Havent a clue as theres no sound to begin being modular. Ripplemaker can do more than volca modular with sequencers, saving and quick cable changes but volca midular sounds a bit different. Sort of like keeping a real violin around instead of a vst. I will see if its good for plucky basses instead of normal sequenced basses.
I bought this course, it was informative and well laid out. Thought I would have cared for a bit more preparation from the instructor and edits in the final videos. At times, he seems to be improvising.
As for the videos that can only be watched online, it might still be possible to download them for off-line viewing, if you manage to find the video source file within the web inspector in Safari on Mac.
is this course now offline? I'm interested in learning more about Ripplemaker
