It’s the current going rate from the majority of online stores.
Oh..market forces...better prices!
Thanks Smitty
Yeah, it's been averaging there for a bit. But now MC707 is a much better deal at same price.
@auxmux that is your opinion. It’s my opinion to disagree with it. The roland mc909 is still the best mc groovebox series instrument of all times...but there is nooooo way I’d ever trade my mpclive for an mc707...or at all for that matter. I was seriously unimpressed with the mc707.
Akai mpclive just smashes the shite out of mc707 in many ways...
Sample time
Sample manipulation
Way more effects, although a few of the roland effects are very good
Better screen
8 audio track vs none
More connectivity
Hell even the 10 gig library on akai buries the 1983 sounds in the roland
If you want roland drums...just pay 350.00 usd and buy the behringer tr808 clone...it sounds better imitating roland than roland sounds being roland
@RUST( i )K going to be a big update soon for the MPC series.
Too right ! An MPC is much more flexible in terms of what it can do, I own an MPC Live and was interested in the new Roland Boxes as additions to my equipment however whilst they both fill a niche in the ecosystem they are in my view overpriced for what they offer.
What Roland really need to do is update the SP404A with some sort of screen, possible one similar to the 707 and some updates to the OS, maybe real pitch and slicing capabilities for a start.
