Must have been the shrooms kicking in finally 😜
Yeah I dunno what was going on. I've had the app for over a month and use it almost every day but for some reason I must have somehow glossed over the percussive drums ~8-13, maybe because I was using the directional button < to go from #1 to #16 and vice versa? So then assuming I'd obviously used all the drums dozens of times, when I landed on a sound I didn't recognize, and then another, and then another, it sounded like an entirely new kit.
That's my only logical guess but it's definitely not the case since the new sound carried over to my old patterns and completely replaced all the sounds. Still so confused... I'd almost forgotten until checking back in, since it's only on the one file.
Although I have had some truly weird stuff happen with mushrooms and technology (i.e. pictures taking themselves, getting texts from the future) so maybe the shrooms were kicking in. They don't need me to eat them to mess with my phone.
Would be nice if Jim Audio wold update his wonderful Poison-202 synth... by bringing it to macOS!
https://poison202.onfastspring.com/poison-202-synthesizer-plugin , a bit more expensive than the iOS version, and might not have been updated to natively support the latest Mac hardware architecture. I still came close to buying it a couple of times…
THANKS @jimpavloff
🙌
Amazing.. Good to know he is safe..

Allready bought the iap. I will be happy to pay for this update. Please add a tip jar @jimpavloff.
100% +1
The midi channel in bug fix is great news. I used to workaround this by running two pure acid instances at once in Cubasis, it did cause people confusion though.. if you aren’t reasonably confident with midi, you wouldn’t guess it was a bug.
Pure Acid is my favourite app. Always a good quick start for me.
Good to know Jim is alive and well.
If a version 2 comes along, I’ll buy it instantly.
Can someone put my mind straight please?
Did PA ever get pattern change or pattern on/off via c-3, c-2 notes etc on a host, a la Hammerhead?
Could've sworn that was added at some point.
Anyone having issues getting pattern chaining to work? I have the bass and drums set to play 4 times for one, then 4 times for the next but it just never advances. It stays on the current pattern endlessly.
You have to do a "stretch" motion to highlight the patterns you want to play. If you then tap on a pattern, it will go back to playing that pattern forever.
There isn’t but as ever all questions are humbly welcomed. I love this app more than any other 😍
There is no manual as mentioned, but you might wanna read through this thread as there are a few secrets revealed 😉
This 56-page thread? 😅
There is a tips and tricks thread which might be a tad more manageable 😀

Thanks! I knew I had to be missing something 🤦🏻♂️
It’s a fantastic app!
Had it for ages and never sussed this. Thanks!
Smack my pitch up
The fills are pretty awesome in this mode. They just play for as long as they are held, and then it goes back to the pattern chaining. It's fun to just fill them with something simple like kicks, snares or hats on every beat or a tom sequence. Leaving one empty is good too.
Just to clarify, you can program your own fills correct? I actually haven’t used that yet.
Yes, with the sequencer off, just select fill 1, and fill it with snares. Then turn on the sequencer, and somewhere in the middle of the pattern chain hold the fill 1 pad (try the unprogrammed fill 2 pad too).
