Latency between Elektron Octatrack & ICA4+

My setup
-iPad Air3 connected to an Iconnectivity Audio 4+
-Elektron Octatrack Midi to & from ICA4+
I have latency between my Octatrack and the IPad Air3.
iPad audio goes back to the Octatrack input via ICA4+ out.
It’s ok for synth & pads but when I want to play drums both with OT & iPad I have latency that I can’t play with.
I use AUM inside Audiobus3.
How can I sort my latency please?

I've not run into any noticeable latency with the ICA4+. I don't have an Octatrack but do something similar with the Analog Keys and/or Digitakt. Wonder if there's a background app causing trouble? iOS is weird in that any app that sets the audio buffer size 'rules' until that app is closed.
I'd try this:
Yeah...mine is pretty solid latency and timing wise with my external sequencers. @syrupcore is on point with his suggestions for things to check.
