AudioLayer and mapping to MIDI controller?

Has anyone figured out if it's possible to map stuff in AudioLayer to work with a MIDI controller? I'm referring to the regular things such as filter and envelope control.

The layer/zone/instrument filters have a setting for mod wheel, velocity and note number and can be controlled by the envelope for that scope. While the effect parameters are MIDI mappable, the filters don’t have mappings other than mod wheel, velocity and note number as far as I know.

  • Yeah, this is my biggest gripe with AudioLayer. I'd love it to modulate filter etc via midi cc but they are not exposed to AU hosts. 😭

  • Ok then 😕 So what about the MIDI Input stuff?

I am still unclear what you are asking. What about midi input settings are you wondering about. If you could be more expansive about what you are wondering it might help me understand what you are wondering.

Ok sorry. What I mean to say is: can’t the settings in the MIDI Input section help the problem with mapping specific controls on a hardware controller?

It’s a bit hard to do for this thing.
In AL, just press the settings cog in the upper right corner. In there is the MIDI Input tab with the MIDI channels.

No I don't think so, you mean in the standalone version, that's just for keyboard input I think, no other mapping options, but maybe the standalone has a fixed mapping for the FX not sure.
In the AU you can map midi mapping parameters for the FX only at the moment in the AUM channel parameters for example.

Those settings just tell AudioLayer what input channels to listen to. They don’t change the mappability of parameters.

Btw, you can take a screenshot of anything that appears on the screen: https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-take-a-screenshot-

Haha. Thanks I know about screenshots. We misunderstood each other. Doesn’t matter. Thanks for the info about what’s possible with MIDI!
