USB mic and iPad pro 2018 problems

Hi!
I have a Shure Mv51 usb mic. It works fine with my old ipad with lightning connector but when connected to my ubs c ipad pro 2018 the volume level is very high even if I set it to zero. It distorts and there's no way to lower the level. I've read other people have similar problem with other usb mic and ipad pro with usb c. Does anyone here know a solution to this? I have updated to ipados 13.1 but the problem still remains. Thanks
