There is a New Multitrack recorder on the way. 4pockets maybe? š§
There is a page on Facebook called iOS music app infos.
And someone just posted this on there.
He also says the developer has previously released a DAW.
I bet itās 4pockets šš or MSII Sound Design

Could be Ableton iLive, a 'BM3 Clone' and just about anything really.
Wonder if it will do AUv3 and midi too...
The poster doesnāt want to say anything.
I just asked him to just say yes or no for AUv3 and midi.will keep you updated
I hope itās a clone of my old TASCAM 244
What if by āmultitrackā they really mean āstereoā ?
š
Anyway, if this is from 4pox, it most likely is an AU.
If it is indeed from 4Pockets and based on either Synergy or Meteor it will be IAP galore.
There is anther 'engine' (Tracktion) that is supposed to work quite well iOS but nothing released yet...
https://www.tracktion.com
You missed your chance at that then....

I've got one of those in the loft, though the roof's leaking so it's probably not up to much now.
An excellent description of my memory at this point in history
@MonzoPro you need to get all your gear out of the loft LOL this happened last year too .
Yeah I know, there's nowehere else for it to go though - shed's leaking (despite re-roofing, re-walling, bunging up the holes etc.), so is the garage, and we're choc-a-bloc everywhere else. And it's storm season - hooray!
I saw the tracktion site and asked on this forum If people were brave enough for us to get together and support some developers on the forum economically for them to take our suggestions and we all vote for what to be included etc, to make a daw for all.so we donāt have to be jumping around apps to do simple things.but no response šš
Those knobs are glorious
So another DAW? Probably no thanks, AUM has this covered. The DAWless recorder supreme.
My thoughts too. AUM has me covered in so many beautiful ways... why would one need a thing like this as an app ?!? š¤
What we really don't need is another "recorder." If there were some kind of timeline AU that could live in AUM? That might be interesting? Or some kind of clip launcher?
Iād pay $50 for a clip launcher at this point
Hrmmm...just bug the Modstep dev to update their app with Audio Clips support
Hmmmm...I am good for multi track recorders...how about a sweet multi track editor?
My moneyās on Seven Systems.
Mine too.
Would love some sort of audio sequencer companion app for xequence. Canāt quite get my head round how it might work mind
100.
Yes! This seems like something @sundhage and the Klevgrand family could do right. A super simple four track with that sound. Limitations is the idea. No editingājust punching in/out. No audio track visualizationājust meters and a counter. Tracks have only minimal EQ and one or two sends.
Ability to adjust the same sort of tape characteristics as DAW Cassette along with a speed control that would work like the real deal. If you record at high speed and then record a second track a slow speed, the first track would be pitched (and slowed) down. If you waver the speed control while recording, the recorded track is pitched/sped up and down in time. MBV warble anyone?
Sends could be fancy AU-hosting sends. Or AudioBus/IAA port sends. Or maybe more inline with the 'keep it simple' idea: fixed, super-simplified versions of existing Klev reverb and delay plugins. Like, presets-only simplified. MIDIVERB II simplified.
FreeAMP on the master bus?
OK... Maybe with a few modern cheats as compared to a real four track
I had all those Alesis mini reverbs including the soap dish MIDIVerb and MIDIFx. They were awesome!
another old love of mine being kept in captivity and neglected..
I used it for years - kept hold of it to remix/digitise my old recordings at some point, but the tapes were kept in the shed....
I bought it for Ā£150, in perfect nick. Told this story before but itās a good one so Iāll tell it again: local lad had taken over his dads shop to sell all his gear, 30 years ago now. I was on the dole so could only scrape enough together for the 4 track. So I had to miss out on the modular Moogs, ARP 2600, racks of other ARPāS, etc. lining the walls, priced in the low Ā£100ās...
I really hope they do
+1
had to do a āspuriousā insurance claim to buy my 244.. got a good 8 years out of it until I refused to lend it to some members of a band called āTools you can Trustā .. who then burgled my house and stole it!
resulting in a less spurious insurance claim and the realization band names sometimes tell you more about the band members than you might otherwise think...
