    @FrankChilds I love that you picked the Fela Kuti collab as your tribute... Brilliant choice :+1:

    A few weeks back I used the term 'Prickly Genius' to describe some of the valued users who had graced this forum yet sometimes proved a little tough to 'socialise' with.

    Well I think this guy epitomises the moniker.

    He's somewhere high up in my all time top 5 drummers.

    Thanks. Fela had a unique bond with Ginger. As you say Ginger was prickly but had a scope of musical knowledge & skill unrivaled by other drummers of his generation. He could really swing & his solos with Tony Allen really showcase his abilities.
