When I was a developer, I even tried to avoid giving my bosses timescales. They're never right, deadlines always get missed and you're castigated for being late instead of praised for actually delivering.
@sealpt: No, that's not possible right now.
Oh ok. Now I know.
Wow Sebastian...thanks for the update on BM2. I guess I'm a total loser, but I'm freakin thinking about BM2's audiobus release SEVERAL times a day,,,I just CAN'T WAIT!!! C'mon intua!!!!
I really did Multitrack DAW, but I'm certain BM2 will be my main tracking app as soon as its released!
Hey everyone! I'm new to this, and I'm glad to see that this seems like a cool forum. I have an Ipod 4th generation, and I just downloaded Audiobus, mabye a bit too hastily. I have been using Loopy for awhile now and think it's the greatest thing that ever happened to me, so when I saw Audiobus, I ran to download it. I know there has been a lot written about the murkiness about whether or not this should be run on an Ipod or not, and I wouldn't give Audiobus or Apple crap for saying that it was ok to run. I know better than to get something before researching everything possible. That said, I have Magellan Jr and Loopy right now and it kind of works and kind of doesn't. It will record, but as soon as the recording starts, it won't let me play like the first 2 seconds. My question is, (because I obviously have no idea), are there other music apps that don't require as much usage as Magellan Jr? I really would love to play through something and record on Loopy, even if it's something super simple. Does anyone out there have a good experience using and Ipod 4?
@PaulB as I always say, the less time I spend projecting erroneous timelines, the more time I can spend meeting actual deadlines. I have a co-worker who is always ready to give someone what they ask for, even when they know they can't deliver on time. SO FRUSTRATING.
Better to tell the truth up front than to promise the world and deliver a handful of dirt.

@guitarmadness First of all, close down all apps. Do the double click on your home button and hold on one of the icons in the task bar until the little delete symbols appear and then click on all of them until the task bar is empty. Then, make sure that Audiobus is the first app you run. After that, select Magellan and Loopy in the relevant slots and wake them up. In theory, provided they are all the latest versions, they should run just fine.
To the entire Audiobus staff! Thank you!
Just wanted to voice my support for the app, and additionally, to the group of dedicated individuals who are helping out sort out some of the hiccups or misunderstandings. Sebastian especially, every time I check this site you sound engaged, connected, and genuinely concerned about making this the best experience for everyone. That's awesome, and why I'm probably going to stay a massive fanboy for a long time!
Cheers!
Hey PaulB, thanks for the response, yeah I've tried everything I could think of. I've even deleted some apps I never use anymore, and put the Ipod on Airplane mode. The glitch seems to come more when I try to set an actual Beat-time on Loopy. There's the time right before it records and then like 2 seconds after that I can't play anything on the syth, then it kicks in, kind of stuttering. If I start a brand new session on Loopy and just hit record and go then hit stop manually, it seems better. Also using the metronome on Loopy for some reason seems to make it worse. I just wonder if these 2 together are just barely pushing the limits of an Ipod 4, or it's just a bug.
More likely a bug, there are folks using these apps on an iPad 2 without any problems.
Have you tried a 30 second reboot?
You could also try deleting and reinstalling all 3 apps. Backup any work first though!
Like me. I use that exact same setup on an iPad 2. No issues. Wish I could help you.
@guitarmadness Have you tried resetting your iPod. Holding down power button and home button simultaneously?
Thanks guys, I will try these and report back!
