    What are they formatted to? NTFS isn't compatible.

    @wim the drive is Mac OS Extended Journal. Is it MS -DOS FAT32 that allows 7gb maximum transfer per file?

    Encrypted drives are not supported. FAT-32 supports 2gb file size.
