Drone looper click

Hi, I’m into drone Music and play with a ms20. I tried different iOS looper (loopy, Enso, etc..) but always get this click noise at zerocrossing. When I see some artist perform with hardware looper pedal I don’t hear this click. I don’t get it since hardware pedal are basically software in a box. Can someone explain why and if I should get a hardware pedal or if I can get same result on ios?

    The click you hear comes from unmatched waveforms at the beginning and end of the loop cycle.

    trick to getting "seamless" loops: set an empty loop for the desired duration. Then overdub, fade the ms20 (or any soundsource) in. Should solve the issue.

    Yes, wanted to suggest the empty loop first trick too. This way should cut it for drone music.
    My looper at my helix jumps right after the second click into automatic overdub that is seamless too. But if some clicks still be heard, empty loop is the way to go

    Assuming its drone music and timing/quantizing is irrelevant-
    Try giving the loop a little space in the beginning before recording and let the sound fade out before ending the loop. Also incorporate reverb and delays.

    Beside that fact I have some (Helix, Echosystem and El Cap) there is not much reason to go hardware for looping ;) except if the ENSO crashes or stuff like that happens
