Combining separate audio and video
I want to record myself paying drums. I have an interface and mics and know how to record the audio into Cubasis.
If I take a video of myself with an iPhone, how can I combine that video with the audio from cubasis and have it synced and not use the audio recorded when I take the video with the iPhone?
Thanks.

LumaFusion. You can detach the audio from the iPhone video and import the Cubasis mixdown audio. Then just drag it in the timeline to sync its position with the video.
Ah thanks
Absolutely! LumaFusion is THE video editor on iOS... worth every penny.

iMovie (which is FREE) can do it too..
Hell yeah, and we just got a new update with blend modes!!!!!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I’ve been requesting blend modes from day one, they have alpha and luma modes too, now we’re going to see some really crazy layer blending now. I’m running out of things to request, lol. I thought they were going to ad xml support as an iap so we can send projects to FCP. I guess they’ll get around to it.
If that's all you want to do (detach the original audio, add and properly sync the new audio track) then iMovie is all you need.
You can also choose to keep all or parts of the original audio if you want.
I think most non-leaner video editing programs are able to do it.
First, mute the audio in your video. Next, add your drum audio to the video. Last, sync the audio track to your video, adjust the volume, add effects of fading in/out and looping, etc.
In NLE software, you can see the audio wave which you can easily edit the video along with the beats.
Worth doing a clap or something close to the camera at the start so that you have a very visual marker to sync the audio to. It’s what these things are for.
