(I’ll have to find some time to hook it up later and have a play)

  • Will check it soon with my seaboard :)
Hopefully it won’t be a massive cpu hit

  • I dont think MPE works in AU, only standalone.

  • This is excellent news!! I feel like it’s been a while since we got a new MPE upgrade. And on an amazing synth 😎

Maybe it’s a matter of the settings in the host?

I think you’d need to ensure all 16 midi channels are routed to the DRC Au in the host. Should be possible in AUM. Also should work in Garage Band if you select the MPE option for the track/AU.

But unlikely to work with non-MPE enabled DAWs.

I’m interested in what parameters are “per voice”via MPE. Is it just the filter?

Usually i can just assign my seaboard in AUM to the MPE app and it works if MPE enabled.
the IAA version has the MPE enable option and it works, the AU does not as far as I can see when using AUM with a seaboard.

  • MPE seems to work in GarageBand while sliding GB keyboard, but not 3D Touch.

  • It should work in GB, Cubasis and Zenbeats as they are all MPE enabled DAWs.

Same experience on Artiphon; MPE currently seems only to work in standalone/IAA, and the MPE part of the settings aren't yet available in the AU. (Nor, more surprisingly, are IAP preset packs.) No doubt all this is in the pipeline for a future update; it's still really exciting to have another of the all-time iOS greats go MPE.

  • Hi good people! MPE is a total new world for us. We have a SEABOARD Blocks in the office for a long time but only in the last couple of months we actually had time to invest on this.

Because of this thread, yesterday we have added a settings panel to the AU so that MPE can be enabled. Still requires a MPE enabled DAW but at least it will be possible to use this on AUv3. That update should hit the store in the next 48 hours. As always, thanks for your feedback.

  • @sinosoidal Thank you so much! It's good that developers add MPE support to their apps, it gives so much more possibilities.

  • Update now live, and MPE working great in AUv3 – fantastic work from @sinosoidal.

  • Great update, MPE+AUv3 is awesome.

  • @sinosoidal Very thankful for this awesome update to one of the best synths on iOS. Looking forward to what you all do next! 😎

  • I'm just trying to find out how this works in the standalone desktop version. Anyone know?
