Didn’t get mega hits but enjoyed putting this one together.
Probably my last Horse Gas album. I felt like I was finally exerting a modicum of control over my tools, rather than the other way around:

Labor of love. The movie Devil Doll scared the crap out of me as a kid. Every single sound in this was sampled from the movie.

Great thread, even better tracks.
This is the one that gives me the most joy to listen too, I remember everything about the process three years ago. I used it to enter the Takete contest and was a bit miffed I didnt win (a free copy of Tekete!). Im over it now. Not much maybe but it is the magic of sound to me.
I thought there was something there for popular consumption so I tried remixing it haha
I often wished @michael would allow us some signatures where we could automatically link our releases. Maybe there are compelling moral or technical reasons why we can't but it feels like a lost opportunity, with the meeting of so many musicians on a site and not enough self-promoting/cross promoting etc.
THIS !!!
@LinearLineman
I actually don't have a copy of the track.
The only way for you to be able to
hear it is by looking at the movie.
The last time I heard the recorded version
was in the studio at Real World.
Still, it is one of the tracks that I am quite proud of.
This is really great set ! I like it so much that i actually downloaded audio from that video and added it to my everyday playlist Thanks for sharing !
The journey before/after our first album. I will only provide one track here as it is most probably not everyones cup of tea in here, and it is quite different to the music I create today. Still though, this was a great time that taught me and the band a lot.

This one is an oldie but I still enjoy it. I remember I had just discovered NanoStudio and was so inspired by it that I remixed a Rihanna song.
@dendy loved your album
It would probably be this song and album.
I spent many years indulging in some random whims musically, accordion and banjo folk horror for example.
Things worked out so nicely when a former banjo player, who had always mainly been a drummer, moved to where I live for a time. We decided to not try to do anything odd, just make some rock and roll like we grew up on...mostly grunge to be specific. So this was very simply, let's write some songs on guitar, bass, drums.
And this song in particular combines a lot of my range of odd pre-occupations. It is an imagining of a girl I knew, rough inner-city girl, with some inter-mixture of Sumerian lore.

I’m proud of this one. It’s not me but my son and his pals.

Here's where I'm at-!
This is one of my fave vinyl releases from around the turn of the century
The track name is actually ‘Lost’ not ‘5.a.m’ .
The guy who posted it got it mixed up.
Epic! I do intend to come up with another volume like this, but with all the cool app releases these past years I've been overwhelmed with learning new apps, techniques and awestruck by the infinite possibilities. I am using the channel to document as much as I can along the way.
By the way, back-story to the album, it was produced while I lived in Moscow and so much of the inspiration came from that environment. I'm now living near Shanghai, China, and subsequent releases have taken different local sounding characteristics.
Props for linking a Soundclick
I know right? Used to spend a lot of time there 10 years ago!
I feel this might be the best to date-
