I always have to think of something to comment on and this time I listened for melodic “quotes”.
I got “Jesus loves me” from 1:13-16 and “I loves you porgy” at 3:09. It’s like playing a musical Rorschach Test with some of your work. You rarely repeat a theme and your strength is how a piece builds overtime and not variations.
That's a good description of my stuff, @McD. I seem to use leitmotifs and vary them throughput rather than thematic variation. All rather unconscious, of course.
