I work from home and have "use it for everything" desk. But it's a standing desk and that has been super awesome. Obviously I can use it standing up, but I can either lower it to put a music keyboard on the desk and have it at a comfortable height, or I can raise it 5 or 6 inches and move my 88 key Fantom 8 under the desk.
I have a couple of these rolling keyboard stands and they've been awesome.
Wow ok, that is a fair price on that!
Thanks
Good question! I am about to take possession of a new music room which is beautifully empty, but now what?
Recently sold my big husk of a Korg workstation. I put two shelves together (left over from home construction) on the top of my now sadly empty keyboard stand and as the shelves are the same size, the machined edges fit together perfectly. I use it for my ipad/doo dad next to my main desk. Just don't lean on it.
Start with a nice rug.
so far I’ve just gone the inexpensive utilitarian route. I’m in the same boat, looking for options and ideas for upgrading.
$66 “Lifetime” folding tool table from home depot. heavy duty but definitely not pretty. Used for synths, keyboards.
My favorite piece is this 60in. Hardwood workbench, $120, from Harbor Freight

Holds Turntable + Vinyl on bottom, patch cables and accessories in drawers and grooveboxes on top, and will pull double duty as a project workstation when I start getting into DIY eurorack module kits.
Those two along with a large generic office desk gets the job done, but I can’t say I’m not envious seeing some of the nice Purpose-built setups a lot of the home producers are working with. Would love to see some photos to see what fellow iOS producers are rocking these days!
Two words that have changed my life: Modular shelving
Hmmm. Mandible shaving? Oh no, that's something else. As regards the shelving you speak of there's a lot of it about apparently...definitely worth looking into, thanks!
More money more problems! LOL
I actually have a nice Turkish 10 x 6 throw! LOL

I got one of these and love it.
They are stackable as well, unfortunate that they won't fit a Digitakt and Digitone on same one though.....I got 2 but need send 1 back.
This Z-line desk has room for an audio interface, monitors, computer screen/keyboard/speakers/mouse, an iPad Pro, subwoofer and, in the slide out tray - with the help of some spacers - a 61 key synth/controller (like an old Alesis Q6.1), and I’m still finding things to put on it :

Tell us about your monitor set up?
They're custom Tyler Acoustic D2x's with the crossovers tweaked to make them a bit more forward in the mids and highs. Custom stands to get them the right height too. The wood finish is local (to the Seattle-ish area) Sitka Spruce.

Other than the fact they weigh almost 200lbs each (plus another 80lbs for the amp, Emotiva XPA-2), I really have nothing to complain about with them.
