Novation Circuit -intermittent fault.
So I just bought a faulty Novation Circuit for £50 on eBay. Description said
“The issue with it is that from Time to time, a portion of the coloured pads will just light up white for no reason and then either revert back to the colours it’s suppose to be or you have to turn it off and then back on again to get the colours back. It seems to have no effect on the workings of the synth and I have been using it for a while like this with little problem.”
Anyone any idea what might be causing this and what if anything might cure it?

I don’t have a Circuit but all the hardware Grooveboxes etc have a Factory Reset function- have you tried that? Failing that I think Novation have a reasonably good technical support dept.
Thanks for the suggestion. It hasn’t arrived yet so I haven’t tried anything so far. Just looking to pre arm myself with things to try. At the end of the day at that price I don’t see it as that much of a gamble.

No guarantee you have the same fault for the same reason, but at least it shows how to get into the thing
Usually a dust issue.
£50 is a steal. Congrats. Enjoy!
Run it on batteries to rule out faulty power supply
Thanks for all the suggestions folks looking forward to having a play with it.
Well I’m pleased to report it arrived today and the intermittent fault has yet to show it’s head after messing with it for a couple of hours.
Fun toys aren’t they.
