+1 for the MPC software . If you like the demo then you get away very cheap , buying an iLock license from eBay costs less 15€
Only big downside (for me) is there is no way to set loop points in the middle of the sample . The loop end point is tight to the end of the sample .
Sorry to hijack the thread with a question , but since I finally decided buying a used push 2 , in my country it ships new with the Ableton suite for 700€ , is it a good deal ?
Oh wow that’s a great tip to get MpC for iOS app prices. I’d say that Push 2 + Suite deal is definitely good. Well worth it for Ableton User. I’ve seen cheaper deals but in my area hard to come by.
You mean using mpc software without a dedicated mpc Controller like the Studio oder ren?
Yes there is a 15% discount on itunes credit, right in the AppStore (at least in Germany) so I can get LPX for 175€ right now.
Yes , but you can now map almost anything to a controller , plus there are many keyboard shortcuts
I love Reason. Alot of users, including many on the main forum, slag it off for various things, most not that important to me. I love how you can jump in there and pretty much get going - I think it took me about 1 hour of running into stuff before I had a handle on it enough. There is alot to it and I've not delved that far in. Haven't even gotten into the patching aspect of it yet.
But, honestly, there is enough sounds/synths/samples to keep me busy for ages. I spend most of my time on ios now but otherwise would know it better. Could never get into Logic.
I love reason too and im buying reason intro someday BUT as a main DAW it lacks some features for me. Especially compared to some of the big guys like cubase and studio 1 etc. for example, I just can't overlook the fact that the piano roll looks and feel like it belongs on a windows 95 system. every single iOS app looks and operates better in that regard. I feel like its holding me back. Btw, is it possible that reason sucks more bAttery power than logic? My macbook looses a crazy amount of % When producing. hope its a reason thing.
If I didn't have it as a main daw and wasn't using ios as much, i'd get into the Reason Rack thing. That seems like good bang for buck.
