  • Nice update, thanks @benkamen . Any hope for AUv3?

  • I envision two AUs:
    1. The sequencer as an AUv3 MIDI plugin. This could be hosted anywhere and connected to any sound generators and effects.
    2. The drum kits as an AUv3 Instrument that receives MIDI and generates drum sounds.

    That would be awesome!

I’ve said this elsewhere but the general direction is towards Patterning as an AU host or plugin. There are lots of steps along the way (like this update) that lay the groundwork for that. The exact parameters of what that looks like are up for debate (in my head :)). I have also considered the idea that breaking it up into a sequencer and drum brain might make sense as a way to make it work as a plug-in. I still think the full version of patterning makes more sense as an AU host though.
