One synth at a time
Exploring one synth (standalone mode) is taking me places I didn’t know possible.
Its almost embarrassing to learn and hear what ability an app has that may have been looked over. Taking a break from all the routing madness (fun too) really gets your hands moving, considering you have a midi keyboard with a few mapped midi knobs.
If your in a rut, like I was, this really helped.

Agreed. Sometimes 1 is enough. Add some modulation and maybe drums and you're golden.
Haven't been focusing on routing to get tracks done lately too. Helps a lot.
My recent process is recording everything to my Boss Micro BR. I don't have to worry with my device performance, can record apps with no routing options and can focus on music, instead of technicality.
Focusing too on EP format, so I can record 3-5 songs with the same couple of apps with little variation. Last one was only Xynthesizr anf Figure
also it's adding some kind of coherence in sound. on the other hand when you made few songs in a row with one synth it can became unispiring. at least for me
by the way I saw great feature from cdm on this https://cdm.link/2019/09/mainvoid-trk-01-process/
Yeah... this can be a trap. The thing would be to make it sound familiar, but not gimping and identical
I've found the Nanostudio synth (Obsidian) great for this kind of thing. It's flexible enough that you can do a lot, while the integration with Nanostudio reduces distractions.
