Differences between apeFilter and Amazing Noises DubFilter?
Hi,
I own and like DubFilter. Now apeFilter, from almost the same dev, is on sale and I’m thinking to get it. Do you know if it's worth it, or if they overlap too much? Thanks
Comments
They don't really overlap at all. Dubfilter is fairly straight forward, apeFilter is Dubfilter's crazy-eyed, mad-scientist cousin.
I'd check to see if there are any videos on them to see the differences
Thanks Dave, I’ll do.
I only have iVCS3 from apeSoft and I have the impression that their other apps are all a bit crazy, mood apart, which can be fun, but in the long run, can you get usable sounds out of them?
Got it, together with his brother apeDelay. Both amazing!
The apeSoft apps are all a whole lot of insanity. Use able sounds can be gotten, but it often takes diligence but frankly, the exploration is half the fun. The Amazing Noises apps (sister dev) are a bit more straightforward in concept, but they have the same basic design architecture and feature the same "zero to insanity" fun as apeSoft.
Have fun but watch your wallet!
Thanks appreciated, but I have 30€ credit to spend and I’m waiting this sales. apeSoft was on my list.
Remember that apeFilter can be played by sending midi notes to it for setting the frequency.
Thanks for the tip, cheers
If I could only buy one I'd start with DubFilter for the presets and instant gratification.
apeFilter has that apeSoft UI that requires extra learning time. It has good presets too but
DubFilter just dances right out of the box.
