What format is Groove Rider GR-16's instruments? Can I import Soundfonts?
This is something I've wondered about. The instruments (such as the piano and saxophone and the like) seem like soundfonts rather than single waveforms. This got me wondering, am I able to import my own soundfonts into Groove Rider GR-16? I tried to Google this and came up empty-handed. Thank you in advance for answering my dumb question, lol.

No, you can only assign one sample per instrument. There could be some added functionality behind the built in instruments though,
That's what I'm wondering myself. I may suggest it to Jim actually. Having the ability to use soundfonts in Groove Rider would complete it, lol.
Now that I‘ve thought more about it, I suspect these are wave tables. browsing through the various instrument wave tables in KEW, many seem to have similar quality for acoustic instruments. If you can get ahold of some good acoustic wave tables from one of the links in the other threads (sorry, too sleepy to check right now), I bet you can get similar results.

Basically yes, but Jim has not made this option available for users.
The factory instruments are effectively instruments in a stripped-down sound font equivalent.
I've asked about adding support for user imports but got no response wich usually means he's not too interested.
It would be fantastic if one could do all that with wavetables but unfortunately it's only possible for instruments containing purely periodic waveforms, and natural instruments are not like that.
The wavetables for acoustic instruments in KEW are pretty good, mechanics notwithstanding. That’s all I’m saying.
Which ones are you talking about?
"Wave" or "Instrum"?
Ahh, I see now in the full version they’re listed as Factory PCM, so not wavetables.
