Launchkey vs Launchpad vs Blocs Wave?
Hi there Audiobussers,
I have all three apps and I've purchased all the Launchpad soundpacks, plus all the Launchpad Pro Features, but none of the Blocs Wave soundpacks, nor Blocs Wave Pro Features
Questions:
- Are all three built by Novation?
- Are the soundpacks and/or Pro Features interchangeable between all three apps?
- Is there much overlap between the three apps in terms of their functionality?
- Are the Blocs Waves soundpacks pretty much duplicates of the Launchpad soundpacks?
- Is there some advantage in purchasing the Blocs Waves soundpacks, given I have all the Launchpad soundpacks?
- Is there some advantage in purchasing the Blocs Wave's Pro Features, given I have all the Pro Features of the Launchpad?
- What are the major differences / similarities between Launchkey vs Launchpad vs Blocs Wave?

You should check YouTube and listen to the Sound pack previews. Answering all these questions feels like a lot of work for something you can discover on your own.

No it would not be difficult or time consuming should the person responding have direct experience with the three of them, and of course I could work to assess these particulars, but one of the advantages of internet forums of this type, is to share knowledge and experience as I have done many times over many years on many forums.
I gently suggest your post is not only of no benefit, but is not in keeping with the openhearted ethos of the better internet forums.

BlocsWave + Groovebox + Launchpad + Launchkey Mini MK3 + Launchpad Mini MK3 = Highly flexible plug and play hardware setup.
I rarely look at or touch the screen when using this setup. Bonus joy if you happen to an Ableton user.

Yes. Slicer, Audio import > build structure > export to Launchpad included in the export menu from Blocs.
Launchkey app? Nothing in common related to the others... GrooveBox (the new incarnation) is very similar in workflow.
Blocs = Build Songs with audio loops. EQ, Slicer, wheel of fortune...
Launchpad = Play Blocs songs in Live environment. FX, easy playability, launchcontrollers support...
GrooveBox = Build Songs with midi-like loops and it has Launchpad-like launch page so you can link both with Ableton Link and use in junction. Synth, easy playability, launchcontrollers support...

Well if you expect more advanced explanation than I did... I think the advice check some videos, documentation or just download these since are freemium with iAP seems legit IMO.
Your questions seem a lazy user to me. Your answer to criticism also an excuse to keep being lazy but I could be wrong like you. So better be constructive and do you homework instead correcting criticism. Openhearted ethos on forum are a gift, not an obligation and also RTFM or check videos from amazing @AmpifyxNovation youtube channel will be less time consuming than this dumb discussion you start for being lazy... or almost it sounded pedant to me. Again excuse me, I can be totally wrong once again.
I hope my answer helps enough to encourage you to dig deeply by yourself and improve your criticism levels. Also I hope you keep these Openhearted ethos levels you pointed healthy helping others sharing your discoverings on the field as reward for the forum itself. A simple search in the forum also will show you lots of contributions about Blocs, Launchpad or GrooveBox apps.
Even we have a wiki where maybe there is some related info or you can write a entry if it isn't.

To the other point, my motivation to post is not driven by a lack of motivation to research; I do suggest however that my legitimate justification is outside the context of this thread, and outside the context of this forum.
Glad to be helpful but I still have my concerns about your truly motivation. Anyways if the questions are answered and you are fine it’s enough for me. I’m not so exigent when I ask for help or I expect others for it neither. I just help to be helpful and share knowledge (the best I can). The rest is up to others.
