Which Beathawk IAPs would you buy again?

Pretty simple question. Which banks would you happily buy again?

Or which ones do you use a lot?

I’m mostly looking for good instrument samples like brass, winds, etc. but can be convinced. Have some gift card finds burning a hole in my pocket after missing out on the BramBos stuff.

Thanks in advance.

The Tutti Orchestra is awesome, Brass Ensembles (though I usually turn to iSymphonic for French horns), Baroque, Spanish Gypsy (Nylon guitar is great), Woodwinds, CHOIRS (best on iOS IMHO), and the Acoustic Grand. The Acoustic Grand sounds so good to me, even though I generally use Ravenscroft.

  • Top of head Strings brass mallets leads bass...

The only one named off a genre I’ve liked is trip-hop and the two drum designers.

All the ones named after instruments I’ve bought on sale were worth it.

  • I'd buy again:
    Classical Percussion
    Latin Percussion
    World Percussion

    I wouldn't buy again:
Mallets (Vibraphone sound destroyed by lots of reverb that cannot be disabled)

Good to know. Sample libraries that put reverb on everything are a pet peeve. If I want reverb, I’ll add it.

  • the Grand Piano is my go-to. I want to get Ravenscroft but dont think it has a master fine tune function like BH does.

Ive gotten a ton of mileage out of the Baroque and Asian packs they have great instruments. the Electric Piano is fantastic as well

Props to all y’all. I was leaning towards a few of those too.

Still open to other suggestions from anyone feeling some instruments.

I have to disagree with my good friend @rs2000. Yes, the vibes have reverb, but the marimbas are superb, crotales, tubular bells, xylophones, glocks, .... I mean, it’s a beautiful thing for a few bucks and I always use it.

Choirs, I agree, best on iOS except for Sopranotron and the soprano patch in iSymphonic. But the opera choirs on ISymph are equally good and different (Tosca pack)

String Ensembles, Acoustic grand, B3, and def Baroque. All very good, IMO and bargains on sale.

Thank you, my friend. I really appreciate the perspective.

  • Another vote for mallets!

Well, I'm a Vibraphone fan so I'm certainly biased to focus on that instrument ;)

  • So... @rs2000 .... whee would one find this verbless vibe?

I've created my own small one in Gadget and huge one in AudioLayer (and they work well enough for me).
Should I have too much time, I'll build another patch for NanoStudio's Obsidian sampler one day.

  • @rs2000, how come I knew that?

Piano and Acoustic Drums. Those are the only ones I don’t feel like I can replace with something else good enough with other apps. In fact, they’re probably the only reason I keep Beathawk around any more. Not that I don’t like it, but I have so many other apps that fill that role, and Beathawk is a huge space hog.

Oh, and the Mellotron. Not essential, but I like having all those sounds easy to find when I do want them.

  • I have and would buy again: Acoustic Drums, Acoustic Grand, and 3 Percussion IAPs
