@Frank: There's a possibility if I can exclude iPhone 3GS from the deployment targets of the app. Because it's in short of CPU power for 6op tone generation. So, I'm considering reducing the time for calculation. Or, I'll take older devices off from a list of targets in future. Thanks!
if we can read the dx7 data (sysex-files?) there would 1000s cool sound available...
personally, I like the 4 operator tone generation, the simplicity, and that it's not very CPU demanding. Of course it would be nice to have 6 operators, DX7/FM7/FM8 file exchange, MIDI CC, etc., but I think it would be much too much. For me, DXi is perfect as it is.
Couldn't 6 operator algorithms be a selectable option? Those with older devices or preference for 4 operators could just leave well alone. Also, with the current 4 operators aren't there loads of DX11 patches out there to be loaded?
