Another reason why Gadget stands out ...
... is GadgetCloud (aka SoundCloud upload and browse integration inside Gadget, plus some kind of chart of Gadget-made songs). This seemed just a nice add-on (Korg's other apps had it as well, but I never really used it), but putting up my first Gadget song yesterday quickly changed my mind.
Whereas my other songs get on average 25 listens after several months, with maybe 3 reaching up to 70 or 90, "Limiting Shunt" (what's in a Gadget name :-)) got 96 listens, in 1 day! Coincidentally, I also uploaded another (this time guitar-driven) song, made with Thumbjam and BM2, and this one got ... 6 listens in 14 hours :-( Both songs were shared to the major ipad-related SoundCloud groups, the only difference in exposure being the use of Gadget(Cloud).
Bottom line: not only Gadget's sonic capabilities are a boon for ipad musicians, GadgetCloud gives our work a lot more visibility/audibility! Any other apps doing something like this?
FWIW, below my ill-fated TJ/BM2 song ;-)

sounds cool ....I cant even figure out how to record pass one bar...lol
Heres a good tutorial. @kennyrox
Good song - and not sounding like you'd expect from Gadget, shows how versatile it can be!

I was a bit surprised too at first, but it's ThumbJam, BIAS, Beatmaker 2 etc. Cool stuff though![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Well that may explain it - although I am currently doing a prog-ish track with Gadget and I think it's sounding pretty good.
@kennyrox: Thanks!
@ChrisG: Thanks! Yes, the above song is not the Gadget one, would be cool if Gadget had a TJ-style guitar synth, though :-)
@PhilW: Sounds interesting, any sneak peek?
I don't really want to post it until its "finished", but it is perhaps not what people woukd expect from Gadget.
@mgmg4871 ok wow thanks for that vid...gadget sounding goooood yummy
OK, here is the "prog rock" track that I referred to earlier - I hope you like it. Done 100% on the Korg Gadget, and on a humble iPad2!
.
Awesome! It doesn't sound like something you'd expect from Gadget (as you mentioned). Great melody, some serious skills on the keys (you did use a midi keyboard, right??).
Yes I used an iKeys to play some if it in, other parts done with the Gadget keyboard.
That's ace mate!
Great performance Phil!
Thanks, all!
Great work!
Nice full sound.
really nice track....awesome
The Kiev synth is one of my favourite ones, capable of sounds ranging from soft pads to distorted guitar (or was it bagpipe :-)). Here's a kind of gang-of-synths-meets-Bruce-Springsteen-and-his-band-in-the-alley song.
