Yeah, not being able to record inside AUM is a deal breaker for me. Much as I like to support indie devs, I can’t afford to support them all, so I’ll save my pennies for apps I can use.
I’ve probably got every looper app going here, but don’t use any as there’s always an essential feature or bit of functionality I want missing. This would sit nicely in a bus slot in AUM, looping up my synths and stuff before passing it on for recording into to MTW.
Again though I really like the look of the UI and workflow in the app itself, so if it gets an update I’ll grab it.
The 505 gets 3 name checks on your web page though....
Man, that beat 1 accent on the metronome in @Shazamm's video is brutal on headphones. Can you change the tone or just volume?
If you have Audiobus, you can record from L7 into AUM without a problem. This is actually a good thing. By using AB3 protocol, it will continue to work if IAA goes away -- as Michael is committed to keep AB3 protocol working after IAA goes away. (Though at the moment AB3 uses IAA for the interapp communication)
Also deal breaker for me, I want it to work in AUM without audiobus.
Blasphemy! Burn the heretic!
But seriously. It really should be able to be loaded into an AUM or Audiobus FX slot. Input or output only is very limiting.
Oh my days.
Whatever next.
I agree with him though.
😁
Yup. No offence to Audiobus, but I have everything saved and setup in AUM at the moment, and my Air 2 doesn’t need to have to load additional apps.
😄 sorry people 🐥
I wonder what this can do that Audiobus + Loopy + bunch of AU effects couldn’t do.
Still, I wish the creators all the success.
I'm going to run it on my iphone.
I've set up my iPhone as a secondary
iOS device routed backed into the iPad.
Haven’t messed with it but the pitch correction seems like a huge deal.
Other than that it’s down to workflow Id say? This does a lot very fast with very little menu diving.
Same. Just in a different way. It comes down to whether or not the workflow looks more attractive.
Does it have multi channel recording?
So fwiw, I think L7 Looper has the potential to be a really great looper...but, if you want to get any real Looping done, stick with LoopyHD, GroupTheLoop (what I use and am familiar with) if you need to get things done. I think there are too many little show stopping bugs which will be frustrating to a lot of users.
FWIW, at $3.99 it's a steal, so if you're on the fence, I'd nab it now, cause I'm sure the bugs will be ironed out.
Let hope the bugs are fixed and AU is added soon.
Honestly I don't think it needs AU...you get 16 Channels...and honestly, after all the frustration I've had with Enso being an AU, not delivering on it's promise, and Audio Damage saying it's an issue with iPadOS, I'd rather L7 Looper be standalone like LoopyHD and GroupTheLoop. Loopers need all the RAM they can get I gather
Just squash the bugs and add some enhancements and we'll all be looping mad after a while
No.
Pitch correction is available in other apps though. Harmonizr comes to mind.
Am I mistaken or does this require a predefined BPM?
I don’t see any way to record without a set tempo.
Preferably the first loop would be able to set the tempo...am I missing something obvious here?
Is there in-app loop trimming or do you have to go through Audioshare, etc. first? As a total noob that's one thing I find frustrating with Loopy. But... I suppose it's good to force myself to practice timing.
still wanting to know, does L7 allow adjusting start and end of loops after recording them?
Like Loopy and many other loopers, this is intended as a real-time performance instrument for people who’s thing is looping. And, yeah, it takes practice. There are other apps and workflows that are a better fit for people not interested in the real-time looping thing.
I bought it to support the developer but if it doesn't work well in AUM I don' t think I am ever going to use it
@Prog1967 and others. I just got it working in AUM, so that will be in the next update.
That’s good just hope the record works.
That's brilliant news.
Will it also individual inputs and outputs for audio interfaces that we can select ourselves?
Oh and what about the automatic metronome? 😏
