  • Awww Yeah! Can't Wait!!!!

  • Finally! Now I can make a real decision on whether I need Auria/Cubasis or not.

  • Shame on our impatience. Lol. From the what I see it was well worth the wait. Thanks to all involved.

  • Nice! Is there going to be a sale price to celebrate? ;)

  • @CSwinn: BM2 is more than worth the $19.99 asking price. You won't find an app with better sampling features on iOS.

BM2 has been my favorite iOS DAW since its release. Auria, with its PSP channel and master strips and pro level effects, tempted me when it came out, but with no sequencing or sampling features, it was DOA for me.

Big thanks to Intua (and Sebastian, for helping them out) for this update.

  • the gods have listened. BRIGHT LIGHTS

  • Comparing BM2 to Auria is a lot like comparing a screw to a nail. While one may suit your current needs better than the other, they are two different tools. I own them both and I use them both frequently. Can't wait for the update. BM2 is by far my favorite music making app on iOS.

  • Audiobus is the hammer to everything, nails or.... err... screws... wait... :(

  • @sebastian lol Audiobus is more like the tool belt!

  • @Sebastion And or screw gun.

  • Remember---If you can't Nail it ; Screw it!

  • I'm regretting my decision to make an analogy to tools... ;-) I just felt like the whole apples and oranges thing was played out.

  • It lost a peel.

  • Hahaha pretty awesome. What were talking about again? Oh right, let me go refresh the App Store again.

  • Just bit the bullet, looks like I'm going to have a great time with BM2, especially with Audiobus. Now it's off to YouTube for some tutorials!

  • Sorry,couldn't resist

  • SWEET!
Now that BM2 will be on the bus, my musical dreams have come true!!!

  • I like you guys, but after my wife found out how much I've spent on music apps, she doesn't. Downloading BM2 as I type...just don't let her know!

  • So, it's our fault. Lol.

  • @funjunkie27 - I totally agree! I can't tell you how many times I've been watching a particular app but put off buying it. A few days later I read a comment on here about it that makes me go buy it, before I'm even done playing with the one I bought the day before.....that bill can wait, I'm trying to get my jam on! Hahaha

  • I used to search the Internet for reviews of music apps, now I just search AB forum.

  • @Mgmg4871 - Sorry to make you guys the scapegoats, but you're not within striking range ;-). I get a lot of insight into apps on this forum too, and it has been the deciding factor in several cases. In fact, I had to upgrade my 16G iPad 2 for a 32G iPad 4 because I was constantly having to groom apps out to make way for the new apps. The extra processing power was a big part of that too.

@JMSexton - that sounds so familiar. Good thing I'm not planning on retiring early!

Loving what I've seen of BM2 so far!

  • The best thing about this update will be how much quicker getting samples into BM2 will be. Record some synth notes right into BM2, apply chop points, apply to pads, and then play/sequence your notes. Or, if the synth you're using has a sequencer, just use that and record it onto an audio track in BM2.

No more fiddling about with copying and pasting, which can be a big time waster.

Adding zones/samples to BM2's synth is so time consuming. That's why I prefer to chop notes onto the drum pads.
