I'll be honest, this isn't my cup of tea BUT...
I just got a MS a month ago (my first synth) and could tell that this was definitely FUN. I'm also attentive to the synth sounds to understand what is possible from the MS because I've not yet delved into the features under what is visible at top level.
Keep it up man. Cheers
Lol @ "This is not a Christmas song".
Thanks ..
Yet...actually...this isn't my choice genre....but thru an accidental LINK bpm surprise I ran with it....the MS is a fucking monster of freaky synth debauchery!
Are you able to get the class compliant audio from m:s into iPad consistently? I had one and the audio kept quitting. The analog heat is doing the same thing for me on multiple gen’s of iPads... so I don’t think it’s something I’m doing wrong.
Reminds me of Tankstelle!
Are you on the latest M:S firmware? The last firmware release was said to improve USB audio reliability
https://www.elektronauts.com/news/495
I sold my M:S a bit before this was released, but if it fixes the issue I may get another one some day.. it was an extremely fun little box!
Its not you.....
And no one acknowledges it over "there" with the usual snarky responses and ass hole feedback.
Something is fucked and / or a knob is doubling up with a CC setting and a connection setting or something strange.
I had the issue with audio coming from ABLETON/MAC so I FEEL EVEN BETTER...that it isn't me.
WOW...HEAT...that is expensive to not work as it should.
You sent the Model back?
I love the playability of it.
I returned one and realized it is a firmware issue or something expecting a fix....nope.
So I don't know.
I had the screen freeze recently so ONE MORE FUCK UP and I am out on it. but in the meantime..it is a live joy to mess with .
Right..
I am an old NYC Techno/House head from the 90's so I have my roots firmly planted there and with the earlier industrial / goth stuff.
Wait wait wait. Pardon me if I might be misinterpreting what you are saying. The M:S has USB audio out? Because... well... it doesn't. If there's a problem it would be with your Audio Interface or iPad settings.
Do you have one?
Model Samples?
Misinterpreting what who is saying?
Oh, I am misinterpreting. My bad. I thought M:S meant "Mono Station" not "Model Samples". OOOPS
I’m pretty much done with Elektron. I love my Rytm mkI, but they just seem to not be able to shit the bed since they took outside money...
the model samples has been one of the best purchases ever, so many possibilities and so light, love it
The day before someone came and bought my model:samples from me I made this video for a little sample pack of the noise engineering BIA eurorack module that I made. I sort of fell in love with how fast it was to use. And then I sold it.
If digitakt doesn't get class compliant USB audio and the model:samples gets fixed USB audio, I may need to pick another one up. It's really fast and fun. Although I've been getting a kick out of making loops on the ipad and copying them to the octatrack using Files app and ipadOS. But sometimes I just want to tweak and not deal with the octatrack's complexity
yeah, it's so fast and free. I haven't had any of the audio issues with mine.
YUP.
I literally just emailed them about a similar thing and told them I am done.
Due to bullshit responses and unprofessional attitudes on the forum or contact for the company I literally REMOVED THE ANALOG 4 from my cart at Sweetwater.
I rather give my money to companies who give a fuck and actually like their customers..
IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.
I am glad I have my OCTA, DIGITAKT, DIGITONE, I DON'T WANT OR NEED ANYTHING ELSE ELEKTRON has.
After what's his name left...I knew it was over.
Elektron is so yesterday.......honestly.
Cant get.straight fuking answer and the typical (fuck yourself) "READ THE MANUAL". ah...ok...fuck you too.
I love the little thing......BUT....I feel the Audio quality out...and I have tried different compression levels/gain/normalizing/ processing of samples...is less than the quality I expect.
The Circuit has much better quality Audio sample playback as well as the Digitakt.
I don't know on the MODEL....never hits that sweet spot for power and clarity....so I love it but more in a supporting role or solo.
It doesn't' hold up against things for my flow
This thread (re Model:Samples issues) probably just saved me a shitload of pondering-time and money.
wow sorry to hear that, got lucky I guess... of course I love the digitakt too.. I'm waiting for them to come out with the Model-Octa sample-trak I'm gonna buy that thing no matter how many bugs it has at first.
It is a 16 bit machine right?
I don't know.
Probably will as well...LOL
Glad to hear.
Ask me anything you want if I have it I can give you feedback.
Counterpoint: I have found the Model:Samples to be 100% reliable (including Audio USB'ing) and just sonically punchy and as heck (very much a case of "what you put in is what you get out" in this regard / using my own sample library as source). Absolutely love the unit.
I have a model samples and absolutely love it. I use to have a novation circuit to sequence my iPad and iPhone. It was just to limited to complement my iOS environment. The m:s has 6 tracks to get me around, I can sequence stuff in iOS and hear it in de m:s, usb audio is awesome. Making beats on m:s and record straight into BeatMaker or other apps. Sometimes the m:s freezes when usb is disconnecting, just save often.
