Anyone have Behringer TD-3? (MIDI Question)
Hi, I’m really hyped for TD-3, with its sound and price, I really want that device
BUT - the outdated sequencer workflow is a huge bummer. Thankfully it has MIDI implementation.
I wonder can we send accent and slide information with MIDI as well?
I want to make sure I could use all the features without having to touch its ugly sequencer, so that I could replace it with StepBud
Haven’t find an online manual, hopefully someone here already tested MIDI sequencing.

Doesn’t look like it. Go to page 23. Doesn’t it have a Mac/PC app you can create sequences on? Go to Apps on the second link

I think one of the older clones implemented accents with a velocity above a certain threshold and slides with overlapping notes. Maybe @dendy can try it out?
You could also check out Behringer’s SynthTool App you can program sequences but I’m not too sure as to placing bends, ties, ratchets or accents as yet, I’ve only briefly used it with the Crave and Odyssey.

definitely yes ... slides are just overlapping notes, and anything abouve velocity 100 is accent note ..
in this test i send notes to TD-3 from BramBos Rozetta Bassline sequencer
you can adjust the accent midi velocity to any specific value if you wish in the Behringer software editor. you can also set it to receive note messages so you can play it, I noticed that mine is not in tune across the octaves.
Awesome!!! Thanks everyone!
Hey guys! Reviving this thread since i just got a TD-3
My question is: can i apply the built in TD-3 tie/slide to midi coming from external gear?
Let’s say i would sequence notes from another sequencer and then just use the TD-3 Timing Mode to apply slides/ties.
Thank you so much!
