Yea and on top of it already being a steal it went on sale right after I posted, perfect timing as I had not heard of unique before and this sale kicked in while I was still deciding what to buy...
It’s stupid the amount of research I’ll do before making a $3 app purchase. but makes it fun and feel like a bigger deal.
Got it yesterday for like $2.99!
Currently have Unique and Zeeon (BB synthwave pack!) running through Xequence 2 in a “dueling synths” style rendition of Joy To The World.
Now then, where is my eggnog....where’s that vocoder app..
Awesome I think I’m going to get it. Thanks
I hear TC-11 is on sale for $7.99... that one is pretty good
Voloco is a decent free vocoder app (if you ignore the added effects).
@Samflash3
I agree. That was actually one of the earlier apps I got before really diving into iOS music but I ended up paying the $10 a year (or whatever it is) for now because it’s got a lot of pretty good features. And honestly it’s just damn fun sometimes.
I think it could be viewed as more of a “toy” app but I find the quality good and get a lot of use out of it.
For example, if I am in early stages of writing lyrics or a hook, will throw on some heavy autotune with harmonies and just riff and try out different ideas without worrying about nailing the performance. It’s fun to listen back to and I usually find some great ideas that can be refined.
Sorry kinda a ramble about Voloco. I recently got the matrix vocoder which is supposed to be molded off the original vocoder sounds. Haven’t tried it yet, hoping to tonight. But the only reason I had more interest in any of it was from enjoying volocos vocoder more than expected.
