Recording Rozeta inside NS2 - How?
Hello everyone 🙋🏼♂️,
I would like to know what options there are to record MIDI from Rozeta in NS2 without leaving NS2. I know of MIDI Tools, but that’s not universal and more then I want to spent for that function right now. Is there a Mosaic skript that can do that?

Ou can use "MIDIFLOW" app ... here is described how to do it:

"MIDI Route" from Victor Porof's MIDI Tools works too.
Route the track to "NanoStudio" and record the MIDI on a new "External MIDI" track.

Are there any plans to improve recording MIDI AUs in NS2 so these kinds of work around won’t be necessary?
Definitely on todo list but no idea when. There are things with higher priority for now...
That app isn't universal unfortunately.
You can also use AUM. You don't even need to load NS2 into AUM in a channel strip, as long as it's running NS2 will appear in AUM's MIDI routing so you can connect AUM Destination to NanoStudio 2 to route the MIDI back into a new MIDI track in NS2.
Audiobus will work for this too. On the midi page just set the input and output both to virtual midi. In NS2, on the midi out track, be sure to set Audiobus as the output. That last part tripped me up at first.
You can also host Rozeta in AUM or Audiobus and send the midi out to NS2. This way you only need the one track in NS2. If you use Audiobus then you have the Audiobus global start/stop button to get things all rolling at the same time.
Step by step for Audiobus:
That should work by default. If not, then check MIDI settings on the instrument track. Make sure All Inputs or Audiobus 3 is selected, and you may want to set it to receive midi always.
Only if you take out the many, many wrong ones.
Thanks for the answers. I‘ll try the AUM workaround after Christmas, though so I was secretly hoping for a reason to buy Mosaic 🤫
Merry Christmas everyone. 🎄
Edit: a word
These tips would be great additions to the Audiobus forum wiki,
